Not to disparage the difficult job those folks on Ice Road Trucker have, but they get to spend most of their time in a heated cab. Some of us who live in the north run when it’s 25 below. You end up with ice all over everything. Sometimes even my eyelashes try to freeze together. Or brave the wind chill while running on the Long Bridge across Lake Pend Oreille (Sandpoint, ID) when there is a really stiff wind from off the water. And northern winters have only one color scheme, dark and white; moose can be very difficult to see.
