"One of the penalties of an ecological education is that one lives alone in a world of wounds. Much of the damage inflicted on land is quite invisible to laymen."
- Aldo Leopold
A taiga scene somewhere in the far north
Another fine pic that gives me the feel of the snow and the silence that snow brings It brings back memories of my childhood in Cleveland. Winters were cold and snowy and long. Kids came from all over the neighborhood to sled down our hill. My mother was always worried that the kids would sled into one of the big trees growing there and be hurt. I have thought about painting that scene. Time for a cup of hot chocolate!
